Vanemuine Concert Hall was built in 1970 (architects A. Volberg, P. Tarvas, U. Tölpus), and renovated in 1998 (architect A. Kuldkepp). The last extension was ready in 2001.
In addition, the popular concert venue functions as a modern conference centre to meet all contemporary needs. The removable chair system of the hall enables to transform the academic concert atmosphere to suit a pop concert, a jazz club, a ball or banquet room or conference hall.

We wish for you to have a lovely time at our concerts. Therefore, we have written down a few rules that we ask you to follow in our concert halls:

• Latecomers are not allowed in the hall; if possible, they are directed to the balcony
• Please leave your overcoats in the coat check
• Filming and taking photographs are forbidden without prior agreement
• No pets are allowed in the concert hall
• No objects that could endanger yourself and others are allowed in the concert hall
• Our concert hall premises are non-smoking areas

Vanemuine Concert Hall does not have a car park.
The city of Tartu organises the parking: you will need to pay for parking from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on working days; from 6 p.m. and on weekends, parking is free.

You can access the Vanemuine Concert Hall with a wheelchair from the entrance on the side of the library.

Your visit covid safety

Eesti Kontsert delights its audience with great musical experiences making sure the concert visit will be safe for everyone. We follow the instructions of the Government, the instructions of the Ministry of Culture and the recommendations of the Health Board and we kindly ask you to follow the instructions below.

Since 25.10.2021, only a certificate of vaccination or recovery from COVID-19 shall remain valid as a proof of the truthfulness of COVID-19 information for audience members aged 18 and up.

Please enter the premises in time and present an identity document and an aforementioned document.

All 12- to 17-year-olds will be admitted to the concert  only with a certificate of a negative test result, recovery from COVID-19 or a vaccination certificate.

Concert guests under the age of 12 are not required to prove infection-free.

We consider both paper and digital evidence.

If a person does not wish to prove their vaccination status, they are not entitled to participate in any concert. In this case, the organiser is not obliged to return ticket fees. Legal basis: subsection 101 (3) of the Law of Obligations Act.

From October 29, it is mandatory to wear a mask at indoors public events.

Each of us can contribute to preventing the virus from spreading. This is how we can keep Estonian cultural life open.

Re-purchase of tickets

Eesti Kontsert kindly asks members of the audience who have purchased their tickets before October 25 2021, but now due to new government stated restrictions to public events are not able to attend the concerts, to contact us. We will give our best to find the best solution for you – whether exchanging your ticket, exchanging it as a gift certificate/ticket or re-purchase your ticket.

Eesti Kontsert is able to re-purchase tickets bought before 25.10.2021 and are valid for concerts up to 31.12.2021. Ticket you cannot use to aforementioned reason can be re-purchased up to 1 day before the concert date. Please note, we are not able to re-purchase your ticket on the concert day.

In case of re-purchasing a ticket, we need your e-ticket or a photo of a ticket, and the name/surname and the bank account number of the beneficiary sent us by email.
